Open Youtube Video in lightbox

Post by TazMojo »

Greetings,

I was having trouble opening a youtube video in Lightbox.

The light box instead opens a firefox url browsers window. The webpage say cant open link in firefox. Click here. I click on the link and it takes me to the youtube video webpage.

How would I load just the video in the lightbox without loading the whole youtube webpage in the lightbox ?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Current settings:

In the jquery navigate bar menu settings > General > Buttons > video > URL > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23SLye-VL0g > edit > Link to external web address > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23SLye-VL0g > Target window or frame > Target > Open in lightbox.

I tried to past the url link in the lightbox > settings. That didn't work.

No luck with the url change.

This is what happens when I click on the link:

Firefox Can’t Open This Page

To protect your security, www.youtube.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.

I decided to use a work around instead.

I have now embedded the video on another page and pointed the link to that page. It loads as it should in light box. I should have thought of this work around earlier.

Thnx for the info., it was worth a try.
