placement of keywords

Post by Marine Divers »

just need some tips to do this correctly

in my keywords box on page properties, how is the best way to place keywords?

i currently have them set up a single words separated by a comma.

is this the correct way?

i seem to have slipped on google and it needs a bit of a re fresh.

my site is www.divingincyprus.net

i should rank well for my keywords as im on a small island offering a specific item, where the competition is not big.

thanks for your time Jonny

Yes, this is the correct way.

Other tips:
- set document type to 'HTML5'
- set character-set to 'utf-8'
- remove spaces from image filenames.

Previously asked at the following. Note once apon a time 'Keywords' were essential to giving you a great ranking. This isn't the case anymore with Google is relies on better page content that's relevant to what you are selling, promoting. You may have lost or can lose ranking due to 'Keywords' stuffing as Google shuns this and it can lead to you not getting a good placement even though the competition is small on what you offer. Now I am no SEO expert but I would be looking at what words you are using and the amount and do they represent the content of your pages.
