How to Nest Layout Grid?

How to Nest Layout Grid?

I downloaded a template that clearly had nested layout grids (I know only 2 maximum). I cannot see how to accomplish this. If I try to nest a layout grid with a mouse it goes to the bottom of the page.

You can drag & drop the other layout grid inside a column, just like other objects.
