Photo Galery Cache in Chrome

Post by eceniceros »

Hi,

I am using a Photo Gallery with Light Box Gallery and I am changing and adding images for several people to see.

Many times when I make changes, they report to me that the changes are not shown and I have to ask them to go in their Chorme browser to delete the navegation data and with that it solves the problem.

The problem is the cache, does anyone know how to update the images automatically without having to delete the images that are stored in the cache memory?

Regards

Thank you very much, I don't really understand creating an .htaccess file. What is the name of the file? And if I install it in the root directory of the application with which I have problems?

The name of the file is .htaccess. it resides in the root directory on the server.

Does this file only have to be in the root of my hosting? or can it be in a directory where my application is?

You want to put it in the folder where the rest of your files are at. Typically it is put into the root folder. However, if your files are in a subfolder, then you can place it there. You may want to check and see if you already have a .htaccess set up. Sometimes they are hidden by the hosting company.
