FlexGrid - best practise?

Post by sieweb »

Hi,
as shortly showed I have a page with a numer of songs listed - and this list will increase:
https://b4flatline.de/songs.html
In the first attempt I have mixed LayoutGrid and FlexGrid what I try to avoid now and will only use FlexGrid because of its flexibility.
But there are two ways to do so:
Just one big Grid with lots of Rows. But when it comes to more than 12 Rows the Dialogbox is hardly usable. But the advantage is, that I can easyly save as a template and use this template with the breakpoints.
So, is there a maximum number of rows I shouldn't exceed?
Or I can use one Grid for every song what has other advantages, for example it will be easy to rearrange the order but will make it laborious to organize the breakpoints (or am I mistaken?).

Use an extension to list the songs instead of using layout grid and flex boxes : https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum ... hp?t=94916
If you still want to use layout grids there aren't much of restriction on how much grids you can use on a page. It is not like you are adding 1000 songs in one page. But it is more about if the page is gaining more weight. So keep an eye on that. So other than that no matter how many grids you use in a page doesn't matter that much as long as you can use it more reasonably.

I think, for such a simple layout it'd best to use laygrids, one for each song.
Then you can easily clone a grid or re-arrange the songs.

You can also save one or more layout grids as "Block" so you can easily reuse it.
