Search extension (a more complicated one)

Hello all,

I asked this question in the "General" section. BaconFries provided me with a tutorial link (Thanks a lot man :) ).
The link am referring to is:
http://www.cityscape.jo
On the left side, the search is more complicated, and it requires MySQL database with PHP (well, the link BaconFries provided explains it in a simple way). So I guess there is no extension that does this job. No problem :)
If I remember right, there is an extension that lists items (like mp3 files) taken from a CSV file or so. Now my question is: can this extension be used for the same purpose I mentioned in the site above? Actually a company in my country built that website and the owners want me to update it weekly. BUT, I would like to build more professional looking site with WWB and implement the search functionality they did, so is it possible?

I really don't know where to post this thread, so that's why I put it here. And if this place is not the right area, please Admin move it to the proper section :)

Thank you :)

@supersonictt although it could be possible to make this it wouldnt really be a extension of sorts, it would be more like the cms objects that are avaialble in WYSIWYG Web Builder. If would need to have a search field form, a admin login, a form update, a update database, a results process, plus a couple more to handle information etc.I know at one time if I remember correctly Naval was working something like this but he decided not to carry on(please dont quote me on this)as it was takeb to much of his personal time. Maybe a search of "Google" will come up with something that you can use.

Thanks you BaconFries for the info. I am currently studying the example you gave me before and searching for more options I might be able to use.
Will keep you updated :)
Thanks a lot.
