Uploading a new web page

Post by stewbow »

Hi
Sorry, still learning and wasting loads of time.
I created a web page but I'm having trouble publishing it correctly.
I saved the project as index.html doc, Up loaded it via a web upload page supplied by Zoom.eu.
When the page is accessed it appears un-formatted. Not laid out as per the WYSIWYG project, with white back gound.

any clues please??

thanks

Did you set it to Publish all files when uploading?

To be able to help can you be more specific. Have you uploaded all files this should include images, css and jquery files if saved as external files and all other html files. What is the url to the page so that it can be viewed. Checking the following Zoom.eu doesn't seem valid as it takes me to show this is for sale

It looks like you did not publish all files.
Please make sure all generated files are uploaded to the server.

Did you use the FTP client that is part of WWB to publish the page? That is the simplest way to make sure your page and all additional files are saved. You might also consider naming the project something like mysite, bubba, etc and not the standard web page name (index.html)
