How to open a website from backup document files?

Post by Joel »

I built my website in version 17, upgraded to 20. I'm not sure what I did exactly but lost the whole thing while uploaded something else to my server.
They reinstated my previous version and I uploaded the full backup files in a zipped document folder which I extracted.
How do I open it in WYSIWYG?

Unless you have a backup copy of the .wbs file then the only way is to try and use the import the pages feature (html). The downside is to this is it will only import the text and images only. The likes of scripts, extensions etc will be ignored and you will need to add again.

I assume you did not not also delete your local files?
Then just open your website project (wbs) and republish the entire website.

Thank you both. It looks like that's the only solutions unfortunately. The backup files disappeared somehow as well.
