DBTS Form Processor update!

Post by Pablo »

The DBTS Form Processor is a powerful, feature-rich extension for processing form submissions as an alternative to WYSIWYG Web Builder’s built-in form script. It can be used with forms / layout grids / dialogs etc and offers a wide range of options for customizing the output.

Although the extension is no longer maintained by George, it remains useful to many users. To ensure continued compatibility with modern hosting environments, I have updated the internal code to support PHP 8.

Note that the file intentionally has a different name. If you want to test it in an existing project, simply rename `form_processorv3.wbx` to `form_processor.wbx`.

What's New?
This release updates the DBTS Form Processor for compatibility with modern PHP environments while keeping the original functionality and workflow as intact as possible.

* Updated the extension for PHP 8 compatibility.
* Replaced obsolete `mysql_*` database functions with `mysqli_*`.
* Replaced deprecated/removed PHP functions such as `each()`.
* Fixed PHP 8 errors caused by unquoted function names in `function_exists()`.
* Updated the internal PHPMailer integration for use with a current PHPMailer version.
* Updated the old reCAPTCHA verification code to use the current Google verification endpoint.
* Kept the existing extension properties, email templates, form-processing behavior, uploads, autoresponder, database/CSV storage, and other features largely unchanged.
* No major redesign or refactoring was performed; changes were limited primarily to compatibility fixes.

Please report any issues, especially if something behaves differently from the original version. A small demo project that reproduces the issue may be required for troubleshooting.
