Google Analytics showing up twice
Hello, We just added GA to a client's website and we see by the source code that the GA code is showing up twice. We did use the Page/html/between head tags. Here is the home page of the site: https://vinnow.com/ Thanks for your input! Steve
Re: Google Analytics showing up twice
If it is in there twice then you had to have put it into 2 different spots. Are there any html objects on the page where it could have been added? Did you check the Site HTML to make sure it's not there?
Re: Google Analytics showing up twice
Hi, yes...checked the site html and the GA code is not there. Also checked the master.html page and not there either. No html objects are on the page either. Hmmmm.
Has Pablo seen this issue before? Thanks for your help! Steve

Re: Google Analytics showing up twice
Question does the client have access to the project or to the server and can add this to the HTML file via the cPanel. One other possibility that it shows twice is that you have inserted using Menu -> Page -> Google Analytics or Page HTML Between <head></head>tags*
I also suggest that you disable HTML Beautifier by going to "Tools" > "Options" > "HTML" and remove the tick from "Enable HTML beautifier"

Re: Google Analytics showing up twice
Hi, no...the client does not want to mess with the site and does not have access. And yes, we used Page/Page HTML / insert between head tags. We see that the Google Analytics option but chose to insert between head tags. Was this the wrong thing to do? We just saw your uncheck beautifier. Will wait for your response to first question about hot to properly insert the GA code. What does the HTML beautifier do anyway? It already looks pretty! Ha!
New twist on things...just looked at the source code again and the second string of code is referencing the Userway ADA compliance tool. Could this be why the code is showing up twice?

Re: Google Analytics showing up twice
It is quite ok to add using Page HTML Between <head></head>tags*
Yes this could be the reason. To resolve either remove the code from the Page HTML Between <head></head>tags* or disable or do not use the UserwayADA Tool.just looked at the source code again and the second string of code is referencing the Userway ADA compliance tool. Could this be why the code is showing up twice?
