I wonder if there could have been a much easier way to use codepen animation in wwb's elements such as background, buttons, canvas and more.

You can add custom code via Page HTML or an HTML object.
Or you can also create your own extension.

Note that there is no generic way to add code to an element because each code is different.
So, some HTML knowledge is required.
