Mobile Browser Detector

Post by zinc »

As the name suggests, this extension is very simple and useful if your site has a dedicated mobile page(s) and all you do is place it on the landing page and change the URL and it will redirect to any URL if it detects the type of your browser.

Download: Extension Manager
Built with EXB 3.0.1
Req platform WWB 8 and I am sure 7

Do you know what the difference is between this one and the Mobile Redirect extension? tia

EDIT: OK, one difference is this one uses Javascript, Mobile Redirect uses PHP.

Probebly none. To be honest I didn't know that this has been done by the mighty BF :) I tend to make a lot of private extensions that I never release as I only make them for a client's website without really searching the WWB Ext. forum and sometimes I release them into the wild.

Out of curiosity I tested both Mobile Browser Detector and Mobile Redirect and only Mobile Browser Detector seemed to work, don't know why.
I tried it using a friend's iPhone.

Hey Joe;

http://extensions.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/

I don't make "chargeable" custom extension. When I build a site for a client, It may be easier to build an extension for it, so I make for that particular job and if it is worth it, I then release it. Like this extension.
