Normal layer set to floating layer with objects

Post by Lasa »

Trying something..
If I make a normal layer and set the mode to floating layer, I can add objects to it anywhere... so far ok.
If I go to any of the breakpoints, the layer is there and it's been sized down to fit the breakpoint but the objects added are not included.
So I needed to go find the different objects and bring them back down into the layer.

Question:
Is this how normal layers set to floating and added objects work when the layer is sized for each breakpoint?
If so, is there an option to keep the objects in the layer (locked) and then physically go into each breakpoint to adjust the location to fit the breakpoint size.
Cheers,
Lasa

Go to your object Manager and find the item and right click and choose the option
Reset Position.

Repeat for all the objects within the layer.

Zinc showed me how to get the objects back into the floating layer in the different breakpoints (a true eyeopener for me) but it would be really nice if we could place a check or something on the layer properties that would keep all objects in the floating layer even when the layer gets resized for the different breakpoint.
The warning already shows if something needs checking in each breakpoint... so this would simply be another trigger.
Food for thought,
